ABOUT PSYCHOTHERAPY

Therapy comes from the Greek therapeia, meaning “to attend to”.

Attend  originates from the Latin attendere - “to stretch toward,” “to be present,” or “to pay attention.”

For me, psychotherapy is the pursuit of freedom. Effective psychotherapy promotes a freer, more joyful existence because of the increased sense of awareness, autonomy and authenticity the work can bring.

I believe entering into therapy is a generous and brave act, not an indulgence. It not only profoundly benefits the individual, but also positively impacts those around you, and by extension, society as a whole.

I have witnessed the power of talking and how the right therapeutic relationship can make a genuine difference to one’s life.

"Pain is important; how we evade it, how we succumb to it, how we deal with it, how we transcend it."
