ABOUT PSYCHOTHERAPY

Therapy comes from the Greek therapeia, meaning “to attend to”. Attend  originates from the Latin attendere, “to pay attention.”

For me, psychotherapy is the pursuit of freedom. Effective psychotherapy promotes a freer, more joyful existence because of the increased sense of awareness, autonomy and authenticity the work can bring.

I believe entering into therapy is a generous and brave act, not an indulgence. It not only benefits the individual, but also positively impacts those around them, and by extension, society as a whole.

I have witnessed the power of talking and how the right therapeutic relationship can make a genuine difference to one’s life.

"Pain is important; how we evade it, how we succumb to it, how we deal with it, how we transcend it."
