CAITLIN LLOYD PSYCHOTHERAPY
MY EXPERIENCE
Alongside running a small private practice, I work at James' Place, a charity offering free therapy to men in suicidal crisis. I also co-facilitate a Grief Therapy Group, driven by my belief in the power of community.
I welcome all experiences to my practice and have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of people in therapy, including young people (18 – 35 yrs, of all genders), women affected by violence and abuse (of all ages), people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, men in suicidal crisis and LGBTQ+ people.
Previously, I have been fortunate to work with other organisations making therapy more accessible and affordable to marginalised groups and young people such as Lewisham Refugee & Migrant Network working with women affected by gender-based violence and with Headstrong Counselling, a low cost therapy provider, working with young people.
Outside therapy, I have worked in charities, schools and mental health settings as a support worker for young people experiencing homelessness with Depaul UK, as a crisis volunteer for SHOUT, the text line service supporting people at risk of suicide, as an activity groups coordinator for older women from refugee backgrounds looking to get active, as a mentor in schools, and as an administrator.
